Barbara Stanwyck

18x24 Barbara Stanwyck Poster, "Barbara Stanwyck has played five gun molls, two burlesque queens, half a dozen adulteresses and twice as many murderers. When she was good, she was very, very good. And when she was bad, she was terrific!", according to Walter Matthau. Ms. Stanwyck, originally from Brooklyn, New York, even had her own television show in 1960-61, which she won an Emmy for. A few notable films she starred in which also have great vintage movie posters, are Double Indemnity(1944), Witness To Murder(1954), and Lady Of Burlesque(1943).

I Love Paris

With so many great new movies coming out, full of special effects and computer animation, we are losing appreciation of all the classc films from the earlier Hollywood eras, such as the black and white, and silent movies of times forgotten. It's not for everyone really, but there is a niche for vintage classics, and there are many to see. I have learned to appreciate the classic, like a beautiful snowfall. It's brisk timeless beauty blankets all the nonsense, and contrary to lacking special effects, is rather poetic in language or silent and persuasive. The classics to me are a different form of media; insightful entertainment, comparable to art history. One of my favorites is Casablanca(1943), a story of love and and self-preservation. It is a beautiful struggle for all that is good in a war-torn world. Buy the poster at favoritemovieposters.com, featuring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, in the "Mysterious City of Sin and Intrigue".
